Here are my takeaways:

-Calories are NOT created equal

-Leptin is a hormone that tells us when we are full and should stop eating

-Insulin is the key hormone to maintain proper body weight

-Too much insulin actually creates an energy shortage with increases our appetites

-The Western Diet has caused us to create more insulin in our bodies

-Insulin blocks leptin at the brain which makes you always hungry
