7 Stomach Toning Exercises You Can Do Right Now

got-core-upright-graphic1The past couple weeks I have been focusing on giving you as much information about attaining a flat stomach as possible.  My new Got Core program has been selling unbelievable, I am feel very blessed for the business, but more importantly knowing that there are 500 of you who have a tool in your possession that can really improve the quality of your life.  I know that sounds dramatic, but if you have ever struggled with serious back pain, or poor posture, I think you know what I am talking about.  I am not saying these core workouts will solve all your problems and guarantee you never experience back pain again, but the chances are much lower!

It was great to be back on NBC and it was awesome to have Sarah Carlson herself demonstrate the exercises.  Sarah is an amazing person and has achieved a killer body while facing a lot of adversity the past two years.  If you have been following our segments throughout the past 18 months, you will notice that she has lost over 25 lbs and about 6 inches off her belly.  Sarah works extremely hard at MamaTone, and with the Got Core DVDs and all the results she has gotten have been well deserved!

Here are some great core exercises you can do at home!

Here are the exercises (what each is working):

1.  Front ball plank (deep transverse)

2. Single leg ball plank (deep transverse)

3. Single leg ball plank with arm movements (deep transverse and shoulders)

4. Oblique crunches on the ball (obliques)got-core-upright-graphic1

5.  Foot to hand transfers (transverse and rectus abdominus… 6 pack muscle)

6.  Squirms (deep transverse, obliques, and rectus abdominus)

7.  Pushups on the ball (transverse, chest, front shoulders, and triceps)

If you have yet to get yourself a copy, or if you are loving your copy you have and want to get another for a friend, here is the link to grab your copy! Only $29.99 for both DVDs, 2.5 hours worth of workouts and content, plus you get a bonus meal plan with it!.

  1. Great job, Sarah! You made them all look so easy! Congrats on your success too — you not only look awesome, but are setting a great example for your little ones! Way to go!!!

  2. Great Job Sarah 🙂

I cracked open my Got Core Dvd’s last night and watched the introduction and interview with Abby. I also previewed work out #1 and look forward to starting. Dustin, you mentioned only doing the Got Core work outs 3-4 times a week and having 48 hrs off in between. Could you recommend a pattern for incorporating the Got Core with doing the Fit Mom’s For Life Dvd’s?? What about doing Fit Moms on MWF and the Got Core on TRS? Let me know as I need to start 2010 with a bang 🙂 Thanks so much – Dawn

    • Dawn,

You took the words right out of my mouth with your workout proposal, but I would not to the core parts on the FMFL everytime since you will be doing them the following day. Another good option is MWF FMFL Strength training, and the T/H/S Cardio and Got Core or the core part on the FMFL DVD!

  3. LOVE the core dvd! t is so great to pop it in while my son naps. It only takes 15 minutes! Anyone can spare 15 minutes to squeeze this in! No excuses! 🙂 After the core dvd, I’ll hop on the treadmill for 8 minutes for some interval training to really work up a sweat. I do this on my days I don’t hit Bootcamp or MamaTone. Thanks for all your hard work, Dustin, helping us moms squeeze some good workout time in!

    Sarah looks incredible!

  5. Sarah you rocked it out! Nice work and you look great! Hope to see you in class soon, missed you yesterday! Maybe you went today? See you next week! Happy New Year!! Oh and Dustin, love the core video, as you know. 🙂 Thanks!!

  6. Wow, Sarah, you look really, really good! And what a powerful role model you are to all your viewers, not to mention making Dustin’s classes look like they actually do some good-ha! You have done a lot in helping put his dreams out there for Madison!

  7. Dustin,
Thanks for the advice on when to do what with the two DVD’s. That will be great since they will be shorter workouts each day if I cut the core section from FMFL. I need to get started since I can barely see my core anymore – Ha Ha!!

Happy New Year everyone. May 2010 bring you happiness and closer to your fitness goals. I know Dustin has allot up his sleeves to help all of us. Can’t wait 🙂

  8. oh. myGOD! i have noticed this before! dustin, you must be 8 feet tall, or all the women in madison are SHORT, because you always tower over them! hahahahaha! i think it’s just hilarious.
(happy new year everybody! let’s all reach our goals in 2010!)
