This weekend, 7 trainers from the Transformation Center went to MidwestMania, a large fitness conference in Chicago, designed to help us become better trainers and coaches. (A huge thank to our trainers, Ashton, Joe & Ryan, that stayed behind and kept our classes going!) #1 Thing to Get Yourself Motivated to Exercise and Eat Healthy

"Know Thine Own Self…" This is what has been rolling around in my head for the past few weeks. I decided a few weeks ago that I am going to do the Ironman next year.  Not only do I want to complete it, I want to finish in under 12 hours. The past few years I have dabbled with the idea of “someday,” but seeing my mom die so suddenly this summer and my 25-year-old brother suffering a stroke just 2 … [Read more...]

Join the 6 Week Challenge: “I’m entering the best decade of my life!”

I talk to men and women everyday who tell me they wished they lived near Madison so they could participate in our programs. I wish everyone did but knowing that's not possible is what led me to create the 6 Week Challenge. I also get questions about whether it really works. It does! But you don't have to take my word for it, read Kris' story here: I've never been athletic. Phy Ed was the class … [Read more...]

One Key to Happiness!

There are times in life when things happen that are beyond our control.  There was nothing I could have done to prevent my mom's death, but I do have 100% control over the meaning I give it and how I handle things moving forward. I could: Be bitter towards God Regret times in the past when I could have spent more time with her Dwell on the fact my mom will never see me get married or … [Read more...]

Does it really matter?

Many thoughts crossed my mind as I made the painful 4.5 hour drive from Madison to Minneapolis after hearing the news my mom was on life support after suffering a massive brain aneurysm. One of the questions rolling in my head was, does it really matter? My mom was one of the healthiest people I have ever met.  She ate incredibly well, managed stress better then most, maintained a healthy … [Read more...]

Farewell to My Hero… My Mom

I unexpectedly lost my hero today… My mom passed away peacefully in the arms of our family as we sang worship songs to usher her into her eternal place in Heaven. 21 hours earlier, she suffered a massive stroke in her brain and the doctors did all they could to keep her on life support until we could all get there to see her. If I could sum up her life it was: love Jesus love da … [Read more...]

Do this 1 thing if you want to keep losing weight!

Do your clothes and the scale seem to be on a perpetual yo-yo?  Consistency exercising and eating healthy is tough. For the month of July, I am committing to sharing a 1-2 minute video with you.  It might be an observation I made that day or a conversation I had, but each will end with a short question. Video of the year (must watch)!

I want to thank my client Mary, for sending me this video you are about to watch.  I think it is the most inspirational video I have seen this year. Maybe it is because of her age, or her struggles with depression, acid reflux, panic attacks, and anxiety, or maybe it is because of how she is making a difference in her community. Carve 8 minutes out of your busy life to watch this. At the … [Read more...]

How to reduce/eliminate joint pain and grow strong hair and nails!

I have received a few emails asking about how I learned about Hydrolyzed Collagen in the first place and what is the quality of the Fit Moms Hydrolyzed Collagen, specifically. Six years ago, when Tracie Fountain, our incredible nutritional counselor, mentioned “hydrolyzed gelatin (or collagen) I said, “SAY WHAT?” I had never heard of it before, let alone know what it actually did. But Tracie is one … [Read more...]
