ahh, the late night cravings or the mid afternoon munchies. They hit us all from time to time. But for those who struggle with this on a daily basis it can lead to some serious problems. I believe late night eating is one of the single greatest causes of obesity in the world today. I am not oppose to eating in the evening, when it contains little to no carbs that is. But most binges are mostly carbs combined with some highly processed dangerous fat. This had become such a problem for Katy, one of my MamaToners, that she asked me what she should do.
Check out this video for my answer.
Question of the day: What do you do to help get rid of the cravings?

If I am craving junk food at night, which is a regular thing for me….a bad habit that I sometimes give in to……I simply go to bed. Maybe read for a bit and then go to sleep early. Then there is no chance of giving in……
Thanks Dustin for the tip. I have continued doing this at about 3pm when my oldest gets home from school. This is the time of day when my kids get very demanding and that caused me to stress eat. Now, I just tell them to wait a minute and I go in the living room and do 50 push ups and 50 squat jumps (sometimes I mix it up a little and do some other things instead). By the time I’m done, all I want is water.
And, I’m in a better mood to deal with the kids.
I love this idea! Another one that I have used for later in the evening is to brush my teeth. Most times that is enough to make me not want to eat again.
Love it, Dustin! I can’t wait to try this
