Fit Moms For Life Fat Loss DVD Program
Yesterday, I was on CBS promoting my Fit Moms For Life DVD program. Marsue demonstrated some of my favorite total body toning exercises and fat burning exercises that use only a ball, dumbells, and the best weight of all… our own bodies!

So many people make exercise complicated. They feel like they don’t have the money to buy expensive treadmills or exercise equipment and therefore can’t get a workout in. I cringe when I walk into a clients home and see the massive universal gym sitting there taking up half the room. Not only is it not the best way to workout, it costs between $1,500-2,500 and very rarely do people use it!
The simplest and most cost effective is a $20 stability ball (that you can also use as a desk chair), along with a few sets of dumbells. Don’t waste getting dumbells lighter than 10 lbs. You should get weights up to 30’s at least 20’s starting out… The heavier weights will cost you a bit, but they will never break (unless you drop them on one another), they barely take up any space, and are extremely versatile!
I think slowly people are realizing the powerful fat burning and toning effects weight training has, but so many are confused about how to do it, what weights to use, how long to do it, what types of exercise, and how many sets and reps. This is one of the reasons I created the Fit Moms For Life DVD program. I wanted to answer all those questions and take the guess work out of it. Resistance training is very safe if done correctly and will really redefine your body!
If you are reading this and haven’t made resistance training something you do 2-3 times/week, I challenge you to try!
Many of you who are reading this are already part of the Fit Moms For Life DVD club, but if you aren’t yet, I want to make it easy for you by giving you the first 90 minute DVD as well as a 58 minute CD for FREE. All you need to do is pay for the shipping. If you like the program you can stay on, and each month we will send you a new DVD for our lowest rate of $39/month which includes shipping. You could choose to spend that money on a gym membership, that will provide you with no guidance, or accountability, or the ability to answer questions, or give you a plan. Or you can take those $39 and take part in a program that has hundreds of success stories and a proven track record of success! It would cost you at least $225 to meet with me in person to give you the information that is in 1 of the DVDs.
If you have tried the DVDs or listened to the CD please share with us what you thought and what you learned OR questions you might have about the program!

Dustin - does it matter what types of dumbbells you get - vinyl or neoprene, etc.? Something that won’t damage wood laminate floors? Also, does the stability ball need to be anti-burst resistant for a certain number of pounds since you could be using weights while on the ball? Where are most people getting their stability ball and weights? Thanks!

It doesn’t really matter what type of dbs you get… I would agree though if you have would floors get the rubber coated ones, they are also more expensive. I wouldn’t worry about getting an antiburst. I have never seen one break except when people have been laying on them while wearing belts. There are places on line such as performbetter.com, But you can get them at any fitness store, even Walmart has them, just don’t get the cheapest one… They are very thin and don’t support weight very well.

I’ve been involved in Dustin’s MamaTone classes & Bootcamps currently use a set of 10# weights that are round and can be removed from the handle. Happily, I have now graduated up to the 15# weights and recommend purchasing the hexagonal metal weights. They do not roll away when you set them down, and they are stable to balance on when you hold them during push-ups and other floor exercises. You could place a yoga mat underneath them if you are worried about damaging the floor.

I agree hexagonal are the best! They also come in rubber.

Great job both of you!
Glad the videos are doing well so far Dustin! See you when you get back!

I got my set of rubber coated 20# dumbbells (very nice) for $67.00 at 2nd Wind off Fish Hatch. worth noting; Play it Again Sports on Gammon is going out of business sales 30-80% off (but were out of dbs between 12-25 lbs) but had yoga balls, mats, etc. at great prices.

Great information from all of you! Thank you! I will check out Play it Again, too, thanks Trish!

Marsue!!! You look so solid and professional! Excellent segment!

Will this program work for a 56-year-old woman?
Marsue @ 9:13 am
Sue - Absolutely. The great thing about Dustin’s program is that you can modify the intensity based on the weight of the dumbbells that you are using and start to increase it once you start getting stronger. Beyond that, each video progressively gets more challenging. Remember that it is your workout, so modify exercises if they are uncomfortable. The exercises in the videos are some of the same ones that we do at bootcamp every morning. We have ladies in their 50’s - 60’s that have seen awesome results, both in their strength and cardio. Dustin’s programs have given me and a lot of other women out there a whole new outlook on life!
Becky @ 5:25 pm
Awesome job, Marsue! You made all the exercises seem effortless! Plus it is great to see how much it has had a positive effect in your life — to actually become a trainer yourself. Way to go — you are a true inspiration!
